DAVID L. MILLER

DAVID L. MILLER is
Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He received his Bachelor of
Business Administration from Texas State University (formerly Southwest Texas State University) in 1982.
Mr. Miller received his Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law in 1986, after a semester at Cambridge
Law School. He was licensed to practice by the State Bar of Texas in 1987 and is admitted to practice before
the United States District Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the United States District Courts for the
Southern, Northern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, American
Bar Association, Texas Association of Defense Counsel, Houston Bar Association and formerly the Houston Young Lawyers
Association. He has authored the chapter entitled "Automobile Torts" for James Publishing's learned treatise,
The Texas Torts Handbook. He has also authored and presented a number of articles for continuing legal education
seminars including: "Trying the Automobile Injury Case in Texas -- A Defense Perspective," NBI Seminar, 1994; 1995;
"Trying the Soft Tissue Injury Case," NBI Seminar 1994; 1995; "Settlement Package Presentation: Winning Ways to
Settle Cases -- A Defense Perspective," South Texas College of Law Seminar, 1995; and "For the Defense, Limiting
Damages," University of Houston Law Center. Mr. Miller is also a licensed provider for continuing education for
insurance adjusters. He presented a recent article entitled "The Impact of Pre-Trial Preparation on Settlement"
for State Farm Insurance Company & The Hartford in 2003. Furthermore, Mr. Miller has received an individual attorney
rating of AV from the Martindale-Hubble Law Directory. Mr. Miller has litigated and received in excess of 60 jury
verdicts in both State and Federal Court at the time this biography went to draft.
