DION C. RAMOS is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law and Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. After graduation in 1978 from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism, he worked as a member of the press before attending the University of Houston Law Center. Upon graduation with a Doctorate of Jurisprudence in 1984, he continued his legal education at Tulane University School of Law, obtaining a Master of Laws in Admiralty in 1986. Admitted to practice before all courts of the states of Louisiana and Texas, the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of Louisiana and the Southern District of Texas, he also practices before the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, American Bar Association, The Houston Bar Association, The American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys, The College of the State Bar of Texas and the Louisiana State Bar Association. Mr. Ramos is a frequent author and lecturer for various subjects involving Litigation and Medical Malpractice for the State Bar of Texas Professional Development Program, South Texas College of Law CLE and The University of Houston Law Foundation.
